Job summary

HellermannTyton North America is seeking an Automation Continuous Improvement Engineer to analyze, develop, and document CI projects for plant automation. You will use Six Sigma tools to drive machine improvements and cost savings, while collaborating with the design team to modify CAD drawings and PLC programs.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, ensuring quality conformance to IATF16949 and company standards, and maintaining OSHA and policy compliance across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent with 3+ years in Automation Design/Integration and Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical docs, schematics, and ladder logic.
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Willingness to travel overnight by air or land as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, support and document CI projects to improve automation efficiency and readiness.
  • Use Six Sigma tools to analyze and support machine improvements and cost-saving projects.
  • Create/modify drawings and update CAD/SolidWorks files; program PLCs as required.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
