Job summary

Symbotic LLC is seeking a Cell Operator to support the automated adapters interfacing with the Symbotic structure. You will assist in system readiness, monitor throughput, and use HMI terminals to operate equipment.

The role is part of the Customer Operations team responsible for day-to-day robotic material handling and ensuring safety, quality, and system performance at the site. The position requires an associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, automation, or manufacturing,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics, automation, manufacturing or related field preferred.
• Experience with mechanical automation systems or related training is expected.
• Proficient in system inspection tasks including cleaning, lubrication and measurements.
• Ability to prioritize work for maximum uptime and throughput from automated cells.
• Demonstrates commitment to safety and independent work habits.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-production checks on automated adapters to ensure readiness to run.
• Monitor flow of the automated storage/retrieval system via adapters to maximize throughput.
• Prepare pallets for induction into the storage and retrieval system.
• Diagnose causes of stoppages using HMI and manual interventions.
• Escalate issues impacting production to leadership promptly.
• Contribute to system uptime through robot recovery and routine maintenance.
• Conduct periodic inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and tolerance checks.
• Report out-of-spec conditions and perform corrective actions to keep systems running.
• Operate in environments with strict safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Perform rover bot upkeep and automated vehicle recovery as needed.
