Job summary

Actalent in the United States is seeking a Capital Equipment Project Manager to lead capital equipment and automation initiatives, ensuring delivery dates, scope, and financial targets are met across multiple manufacturing sites.

You will develop business cases for new capital projects, drive projects from concept through commissioning, coordinate with maintenance, IT, and plant teams, and train site personnel on new technologies, providing post-implementation support. Travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• 6 or more years of manufacturing and operations experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Experience leading capital equipment and automation projects.
• Robotics and PLC knowledge is a strong plus; however, programming PLCs is not required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure smooth, continuous operations.
• Manage internal, external, direct, and indirect project team resources.
• Communicate effectively at all organizational levels; strong presentation skills required.
• Manage multiple complex, multi-faceted projects simultaneously.
• Align teams to defined project charters, goals, and metrics.
• Apply systematic problem-solving tools to resolve technical challenges.
• Manage capital equipment suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Coordinate stakeholder alignment across departments.
• Partner with IT and plant teams to implement system upgrades aligned with future manufacturing projects.
