Job summary

Husco is seeking an Automation Assembly Technician to support the Advanced Manufacturing team in designing and installing new machine assemblies. You will build subassemblies, troubleshoot, and deploy diagnostic fixes in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with engineers and designers, reading drawings and gathering components to assemble complex equipment. The role offers growth in automated systems and a supportive learning culture at Husco.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical environment including equipment troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, or assembly.
• General knowledge of manufacturing equipment and electro-mechanical devices.
• Ability to work hands-on, with knowledge of various tools used for mechanical and electrical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Build & Test Automation Equipment: read drawings, gather components, and assemble complex manufacturing equipment.
• Utilize New Technology: engage with state-of-the-art automation tech and learn new processes.
• Troubleshoot & Debug Assemblies: identify issues and develop solutions to mitigate challenges.
• Participate in Up-Front Equipment design: review designs for efficiency, feasibility, and serviceability.

You will be operating in a fast-paced environment, where you will switch gears quickly to build subassemblies and execute diagnostic de- bug as needed.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Build & Test Automation Equipment: Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers/Designers to read drawings, gather components, and assemble complex manufacturing equipment.
• Utilize New Technology: Work with state-of-the-art technologies in the automation industry, forging relationships with vendors and learning new processes and methodologies.
• Troubleshoot & Debug Assemblies: Take a hands-on problem-solving approach as challenges arise. Communicate challenges effectively, as well as develop solutions to mitigate the challenges.
• Participate in Up-Front Equipment design: Participate in cross-functional reviews of equipment, ensuring efficiency, feasibility, and serviceability are incorporated into designs early on within the project.

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience working in a hands-on environment involving mechanical systems, equipment troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, or assembly
• General knowledge of manufacturing equipment and electro-mechanical devices.
