Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an Applications Engineering Intern/Co-Op for a May–August 2027 term. You will assist and support applications engineers, collaborate across teams, and contribute to the design, build, and deployment of custom automated equipment.

You will create CAD models, perform timing studies, and help prepare quotes while engaging directly with customers to gather requirements and guide them through the automation process.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing an engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Design custom automation lines for customers nationwide.
• Collaborate with engineers to brainstorm and vet automation solutions.
• Create CAD models, perform timing studies, and prepare quotes.
• Communicate requirements and concept designs to customers.
• Request quotes from vendors and gather SME input.
• Develop and present an intern project to management.
