Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an Applications Engineering Intern/Co-Op for May 2027 through August 2027 in Holland, Michigan. The internship is full-time, paid, and part-time focused, supporting the design, build, program, and deployment of custom automated equipment.

You will work with our applications, controls, mechanical, and build teams to design automation lines, develop CAD models, and assist in vendor quotes while gathering customer requirements and guiding them

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college engineering program.
• Basic CAD and electrical/pneumatic drawing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design custom automation lines with a team of applications engineers.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to vet automation solutions.
• Create CAD models, perform timing studies, and prepare quote materials.
