Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing in Huntsville, AL seeks a 2nd shift Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Technician to operate SMT equipment and inspect PCBA assemblies.

You will review AOI defects under a microscope, perform rework, read drawings, and work with cross‑functional teams to meet daily objectives, with eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2-4 years SMT experience.
• Knowledge of SMT processes used to build PCBA assemblies.
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.
• U.S. citizen with eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of PCBA inspection criteria for Class 3 PCBA’s.
• Working under a microscope.
• Review AOI defects and rework/touch-up PCBA’s when needed.

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking an 2nd shift Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Technician to join our team that runs Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment that produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s). Primary Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of Printed Circuit Board (PCBA) Inspection criteria for Class 3 PCBA’s
• Working under a microscope
• Review AOI defects and rework/touch-up PCBA’s when needed
• Works to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output.
• Works independently under limited supervision
• Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teams

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2-4 years Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experience
• Knowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructionsMust be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610.
• Current or prior certification in J-STD-001.
• Experience using Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) to inspect PCBA’s
• Experience with Koh Young Zenith AOI
• Experience using X-ray to inspect PCBA’s
• This is a 2nd shift position

Pay Range

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
