Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge in the proper use of hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Construction industry experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of new automatic door systems, including frames, rails, openers, and control systems.
• Receive training on the types, makes and models of automatic doors.
• Learn to perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on various automatic door systems.
• Develop skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using manuals, schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Support installations and repairs to ensure safety standards and building codes, under the supervision of a Certified Automatic Door Technician.
• Demonstrate professionalism on worksites and with clients.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent on each job.
