An established entrance and security company is looking for an experienced Door Technician to support customers across Westchester County and the surrounding area.
This is a hands‑on field position working with automatic entrance systems in commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, banks, retail sites, and other public‑facing environments. You will be trusted to identify faults, complete repairs, and ensure every system meets the required safety standards.
Installing and servicing automatic sliding, swing, folding, and revolving doors.
Investigating electrical, mechanical, sensor, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
Carrying out scheduled maintenance and AAADM safety inspections.
Adjusting and programming operators, activation devices, safety sensors, and access‑control connections.
Completing certification, service, and parts documentation.
Reading wiring diagrams, technical manuals, blueprints, and architectural plans.
Discussing faults and recommended repairs with customers.
Managing the parts and equipment needed for service visits.
Attending urgent callouts when required.
Following OSHA and site‑specific safety procedures.
Current AAADM certification.
At least two years of experience servicing and installing automatic doors.
Good knowledge of low‑voltage electrical systems.
Confidence using diagnostic equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work safely at height.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with manufacturers such as Stanley, Horton, Tormax, Nabco/Gyro-Tech, Record, or Dorma would be useful. Familiarity with ADA compliance, access control, or building automation is also welcomed.
Up to $60 per hour, based on experience.
