Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation seeks an Automatic Door Installer to join our team in Burlington, NJ. The Installation Technician will assist with site preparation, take accurate measurements, and perform construction tasks such as framing and build-ins on a variety of door projects, delivering high-quality service at customer sites.

You will work with experienced technicians, maintain tools, follow safety practices, and support successful installations across our service area.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in glass and aluminum storefronts is preferred.
• Electrical background is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Automatic Door Industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of automatic sliding, folding, revolving and swinging doors, operators and associated equipment.
• Assist with surveying and preparing worksite location for installation, including measurements and construction modifications.
• Assist and perform construction-related work such as framing and build-ins.
• Proactively support safety program and ensure safe work practices on site, in warehouse and office.
• Ensure tools and equipment are working and available before starting work.
• Document work to be performed and review with the customer.
• Oversee care and maintenance of equipment, tools and company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of parts in company vehicles for on-site needs.
• Represent Door Services Corporation professionally to customers.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the service area while driving safely.

Automatic Door Installer - $25-35 per hour Join our growing team as an Installation Technician, where you'll play a key role in the installation of state-of-the-art automatic door systems. In this hands-on position, you'll assist with site preparation, take accurate measurements, perform construction work such as framing and build-ins, and support the successful completion of installation projects. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, maintain tools and equipment, follow safety best practices, and deliver exceptional customer service at a variety of job sites throughout Burlington, NJ and the surrounding communities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Experience in glass and aluminum store front preferred.
• Electrical background preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Automatic Door Industry is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate basic math including fractions and read a tape measure.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Valid driver's license.
