Job summary

Allegion, a global leader in security, is seeking an Installation Technician for Stanley Access Technologies to perform installation and service work remotely from Florida. You will record time, maintain parts, and ensure safety and quality on every site.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, proper documentation, and customer relations while adhering to ANSI/156.10 standards. A high school diploma or GED and AAADM certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid state driver's license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation or service work as designated in a professional manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance per service program for specific customers.
• Maintain work records and parts used per procedure.
• Stay updated on changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI/156.10 standards.
• Keep manuals current and maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Present a neat appearance and adhere to policies.
• Maintain inventory for service vehicles and log it.
• Test equipment before leaving job site; conduct safety checks.
• Foster good customer relations and service quality.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

What You Will Do:

• Perform installation or service work as designated in profitable and proper manner. Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with service program designated for specific customer.
• Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
• Keep updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and Ansi156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
• Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in proper manner.
• Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
• Test equipment before leaving job site; perform safety check.
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

What You Need to Succeed:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100lbs.
• Excellent Oral & Written communication skills.
• Sitting while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours but not limited to.
• Standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours but not limited to.
• Stooping, Crouching, Kneeling, Crawling, and twisting spine occasionally.
• Vision not limited to near, far or colors.
• Ability to work in various climates.
• Flexible work schedule is a must with the ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.

Additional Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

• Prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field
• Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, building door frames, reading blueprints, AAADM Certification
