Job summary

LEGO Group in Virginia is seeking an experienced Automated Warehouse Technician II to maintain and optimize our automated warehouse systems, ensuring safe, efficient operations and high equipment availability.

You will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with operations to minimize downtime while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in industrial/manufacturing.
  • Hands-on maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting failures and identifying root causes.
  • Ability to work safely at heights (8–40 meters).
  • CPR and First Aid certification obtainable.
  • Experience with LOTO procedures and safe maintenance practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Fluent English communication.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic issues.
  • Support equipment reliability with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Replace and maintain equipment components and spare parts as needed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor performance and report downtime trends and improvements.
  • Conduct vibration analysis and thermography as part of PM program.
  • Contribute to Lean and Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, quality, and maintenance procedures (LOTO).
  • Attend daily shift meetings and support KPI tracking.

Job DescriptionAre you an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting automated equipment and supporting operational reliability? As an Automated Warehouse Technician II, you\'ll play a key role in maintaining the performance of our automated warehouse systems while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia.

Compensation & Schedule
  • Starting Pay: $31.45/hr.
  • Schedule: Train on day shift; upon completion, transition to a 2-2-3 day or night shift schedule.
  • Shift Differential: 10% for Night Shift ($34.60/hr.)
What You\'ll Do
  • Support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on automated warehouse equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment issues.
  • Support equipment reliability efforts by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Replace and maintain equipment components and spare parts based on operational needs and equipment condition.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report downtime events, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive maintenance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI), Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen activities.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and maintenance procedures, including LOTO requirements.
  • Attend daily shift meetings and contribute to maintenance KPI tracking and reporting.
  • Participate in proactive safety activities, audits, and maintenance improvement projects.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment failures and identifying root causes.
  • Ability to work safely at heights ranging from approximately 8 to 40 meters.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe maintenance practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Ability to distinguish colors for equipment, wiring, and maintenance-related tasks.
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required for training and business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automated warehouse systems and material handling equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience, preferably Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and maintenance management systems.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis and thermography.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or 5S.
  • Experience working in highly automated manufacturing environments.
  • Technical degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $31.45 - $31.45 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
