Job summary

Insight Global’s client in design and manufacturing of power products seeks a Test Engineer in Vancouver, WA. You will develop and support automated test and calibration systems to validate electronic products across development and production lifecycles.

Ideal candidates bring strong software and hardware testing skills with Python, LabVIEW, electronics knowledge, and hands-on troubleshooting for reliable, scalable test solutions. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience building automated test systems in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Hands-on development experience with Python and LabVIEW.
Experience combining automated test systems with electronic test equipment to test, calibrate, and troubleshoot hardware products.
Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
Experience with SCPI, Modbus TCP/RTU, RS-232, and TCP/IP.
Advanced LabVIEW experience, including architectures and design patterns.
Experience with SQL/database, including stored procedures and views.
Experience with source control, issue tracking, and configuration management.
Experience with PCBA design and testing, including schematic capture and hardware bring-up.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain test, calibration, and validation software for electronic products.
Program primarily using Python and LabVIEW.
Integrate and automate electronic test and measurement equipment.
Develop and execute verification and validation test plans based on product requirements.
Analyze test results and troubleshoot hardware, software, instrumentation, and communication issues.
Develop and support test fixtures, instrumentation, and automated test systems.
Support deployment of test and calibration systems into manufacturing environments.
Work cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
Document test results, technical issues, and system performance.
Improve the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of existing test systems.
Provide training and technical support to engineering and manufacturing personnel.
Travel occasionally as needed for system implementation, training, or project support.
