Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Test Engineer in Bentleyville, PA to lead validation testing for vacuum pumps and rotating equipment. You will own test systems, instrumentation, and LabVIEW data acquisition while collaborating with Product Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure high-quality qualification and rapid issue resolution.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, data-driven decision making, and producing technical documentation to support product releases and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in test/controls/instrumentation/validation engineering within manufacturing.
• U.S. citizen eligible for government security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and execute validation testing for vacuum pumps, compressors, packaged systems, and related rotating equipment.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve product or test-system issues discovered during validation.
• Own motors, VFDs, DC drives, PLCs, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for testing.
• Maintain and improve LabVIEW applications and NI hardware and test infrastructure.
• Analyze test data and trends to support product validation and continuous improvement.
