Grassland Dairy Products is expanding and seeking a reliable Automated Storage and Retrieval System Forklift Operator for the 1st shift. You will safely operate forklifts within our ASRS, move and place products, and ensure inventory accuracy in our automated storage system.

Description

Grassland Dairy Products is expanding, and we’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Automated Storage and Retrieval System Forklift Operator to join our team. Our new Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) uses computer-controlled technology to efficiently store, retrieve, and manage inventory.

As an ASRS Forklift Operator, you will play an important role in our warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts, efficiently moving and placing products, and ensuring inventory is handled accurately within our automated storage system. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced warehouse technology while being part of a growing dairy manufacturing operation.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM


• Every other weekend (double time pay)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.


• Verify quality control items such as product coding, packaging, sampling, etc.


• Responsible for organizing and rotating stock within FIFO guidelines.


• Communicate with dock personnel regarding ongoing organization of the warehouse.


• Communicate with inventory leadership regarding product placement and organization.


• Maintain proper documentation in all record-keeping formats.


• Perform forklift operations for the ASRS facility.


• Account for daily production totals and product placement.


• Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved.


• Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed.


• Backfill to other positions/departments as needed.

• Warehousing and shipping and receiving logistics and inventory placement knowledge.

• Maintain necessary certifications for operation of powered industrial equipment, including forklift certification.


• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines to maintain regulatory compliance.

Education/Experience

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
