Job summary

Ravago Americas in Baytown, TX is hiring a Packaging Operator to run automated packaging lines safely and efficiently. You will record data, inspect equipment, and maintain clean, safe work areas while meeting quality standards.

The role requires forklift experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with a team to achieve KPIs. Education of a high school diploma or GED is required, with at least two years in a warehousing or packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in warehouse and/or packaging environment.
• 1 year forklift driving experience (double forklift preferred).
• Knowledge of PPE, safety rules, and departmental work instructions.
• English reading/writing/speaking required; English-Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Record product, packaging and other information in forms and WMS.
• Follow safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Maintain productivity and quality as directed by supervisor.
• Conduct visual checks of machinery and escalate issues.
• Keep work area clean and resin-free during shifts.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Step into forklift/packaging roles as needed by business.
• Ensure samples are retained per SOP.
• Handle automated packaging line activities and minor tune-ups.
• Collaborate with Packaging Supervisor and Lead to meet KPIs.
