Job summary

HRU in Liberty, SC is seeking an experienced Machine Builder to assemble custom medical equipment and automated machinery from detailed drawings and specifications.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining quality and adhering to ISO standards and safety procedures. The role involves preparing materials for secondary operations, operating mills, lathes, drill presses and other shop equipment, and collaborating with the lead on project status and issues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building automated machinery or custom equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical equipment and automated machinery from mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Document and communicate build changes, issues, and production concerns.
• Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Adhere to ISO quality standards and company safety procedures.
• Communicate project status, progress, and open issues with the Machine Build Lead throughout the build process.
• Support successful project execution related to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Prepare materials for secondary operations including finishing, heat treating, and deburring.
• Safely operate manufacturing equipment, including:Mills,Lathes,Drill Presses,Surface Grinders,Saws,Shears,Presses.
• Assist with shop activities as needed to support project completion.
