Location: Asheboro, NC

Shift: 6PM - 6AM (2-2-3 rotating schedule)

Job Description: Operating automated machines such as CNC or other machines, setting up complex, customized production equipment, and manufacturing company products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manufacture quality products efficiently to meet demand.
2. Set up equipment, including feed, speed, and temperature, following established procedures for CNC and conventional machines.
3. Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications.
4. Resolve issues related to production, machinery, and processing.
5. Basic programming may be included.
6. Set up and operate machine tools like mill-turns, mills, lathes, or grinders efficiently.
7. Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials onto machines.
8. Read blueprints and use quality control gauges.
9. Transport materials necessary for operations.
10. Inspect machined products using precision gauges.
11. Perform machining operations on CNC machines, selecting proper cutters and adjusting feeds and speeds.
12. Operate multiple CNC machines if required.
13. Support technical tasks to assist operations.

Education and Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, especially automated/CNC work.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Basic troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
• Ability to modify G code programs.
• Knowledge of shop math, GD&T, and use of measurement tools.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow safety policies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
