Job summary

Yazaki North America, Inc. in La Vergne, TN is seeking a reach truck forklift operator to test our robotic forklifts and improve reliability and operator experience. You will interact with state-of-the-art automation and also operate manually.

Responsibilities include unloading and inspecting inbound shipments, stocking materials, picking and packing orders, and managing autonomous forklifts via our software system, with daily start/end inspections and proper documentation.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will operate reach truck forklift operator to test our robotic forklifts and help us improve reliability and the operator experience. You'll operate the forklifts both by interacting with our state-of-the-art automation technology and manually.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES

• Experience with standard office productivity tools (Google Docs, Slack, etc.)
• Experience with warehouse software tools is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Unload, inspect and verify inbound shipments
• Stock all materials inappropriate warehouselocations
• Pick,packand stage material orders
• Consolidate ordered materials and verify order accuracy
• Create shipping manifests and tickets and load delivery trucks
• Assemble and install test payloads
• Manage Third Wave’s autonomous forklifts via our software system.
• Complete start of shift daily inspections
• Complete end of shift truckputaway
• Complete proper documentation of product issues during production, safety reports,etc
• Operate autonomous forklifts in the distribution center
• Manage forklifts via software system
