Job summary

Solventum, Brookings, SD, seeks an Automated Controls Technician to support production operations, maintain quality, and ensure a safe plant environment. This role follows a rotating two-week shift and offers starting pay of $36.13 per hour.

Responsibilities include maintaining AC/DC drives, PLCs, and automation equipment, reading schematics, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment and processes. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in Mechatronics, Automation or Robotics or an equivalent combination.
• HS Diploma/GED with two years of Electro-Mechanics/Automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including AC/DC drives, PLCs and process controllers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, sketches and vendor drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering and production staff during troubleshooting and modification of plant equipment and processes.
• Provide recommendations to improve and optimize plant equipment, utilities and processes.
