Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA, is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) – Automated Chemistry to perform automated and manual testing. This role requires a valid CLS license and a Bachelor's degree, with up to 5 years in a regulated lab, and a schedule of Tuesday–Saturday 6:00 pm to 2:30 am.

You will verify QC, maintain equipment, support validations, and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, GCLP, safety standards, contributing to accuracy and timely results for research and patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) license required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Up to 5 years of relevant experience in a regulated laboratory.
• Working knowledge of GCLP, CLIA and applicable regulatory standards.
• Proficiency with complex laboratory testing procedures and QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated and manual clinical laboratory testing with minimal supervision.
• Verify quality control results and release laboratory results per licensing requirements.
• Maintain inventory, prepare reagents, and ensure equipment availability for daily operations.
• Troubleshoot laboratory processes and communicate testing irregularities.
• Support assay validations, improvements, and new testing configurations.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, GCLP, safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and training activities.
• Support special projects and other laboratory responsibilities as assigned.
