Job summary

AstraZeneca in Cambridge, MA, seeks a highly organized Scientist for the High-Throughput Production team. You will operate automated robotics to routinely produce, purify, and QC hundreds of antibodies weekly for R&D programs.

Responsibilities include executing high-throughput workflows, maintaining SOPs and data packages, coordinating with production, QC, automation, and pipeline teams, and suggesting improvements to boost reliability and throughput.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, cell biology, molecular biology, chemical engineering, or related field; 1+ years in HT protein/antibody expression or purification.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 5+ years in HT protein/antibody expression, purification, or characterization.
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput production and automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-throughput antibody production campaigns weekly.
• Operate Hamilton and Lynx robotics; follow SOPs and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Prepare media, culture cells, transient transfections, and harvest per SOPs.
• Perform QC testing and compile complete data packages for teams.
• Track samples and metadata in LIMS to maintain chain-of-custody.
• Maintain instrument readiness and coordinate vendor service when needed.
• Coordinate daily work with HTP colleagues and cross-functional partners.
• Identify deviations and suggest practical improvements to workflows.
