Job summary

Google is seeking a senior hardware-software specialist in Mountain View to architect and optimize Autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization systems. You will lead cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, and software to deliver next-generation AF/OIS capabilities with performance, power, and manufacturability in mind.

You will design control algorithms, validate through simulations and prototyping, and drive production-ready implementations for consumer electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years solving cross-functional issues in a data-driven environment.
• 5 years testing/calibration/validation of AF/OIS in consumer electronics.
• 5 years system-level co-design for performance/power/manufacturability.
• 5 years creating AF/OIS control algorithms from models and Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Architect roadmap and goals for next-gen Autofocus (AF) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
• Drive introduction of novel AF/OIS technologies from concept to production.
• Own end-to-end design and optimization of advanced control systems for AF/OIS.
