Job summary

Google Mountain View is seeking an Autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization Control System Architect to lead the design of high-performance AF/OIS systems across Google's hardware portfolio. You will own the end-to-end development of advanced control algorithms and drive system-level co-design to deliver imaging capabilities with superior performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to push innovation, validate concepts, and guide production-ready solutions that balance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience solving cross-functional issues in a data-driven environment.
• 5 years of experience with testing, calibration, and validation of AF/OIS systems for consumer electronics.
• 5 years of experience in system-level co-design for performance, power, and manufacturability.
• 5 years of experience with development of control algorithms for AF/OIS systems from simplified mechanical modeling and Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Architect the roadmap and goal for next-generation Autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization systems across Google's hardware portfolio.
• Drive the introduction of novel AF/OIS technologies from concept to production to pioneer new imaging and sensing capabilities.
• Own the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of advanced control systems and algorithms to achieve AF and OIS performance.
