Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an Autoclave Utility Operator in Mentor, OH, to perform etch, autoclave, and laboratory operations with emphasis on quality, productivity, and safety.

You will support compliance, adjust solutions, review records, and coordinate tank maintenance and waste handling. The role requires at least 1 year in manufacturing, dependability, ability to work independently, and strong multitasking, with a constructive team approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• The Autoclave Utility Operator must perform all etch, autoclave, and laboratory operations with focus on quality, productivity, and safety.
• Support SOP and EP compliance for etch and autoclave solution controls (solution testing).
• Periodically review documents and make changes to reflect current practices; conduct audits for compliance.
• Adjust tank levels/concentration and retest solutions.
• Review previous shift’s testing records for compliance and verify electronically entered records.
• Coordinate with production and perform tank clean outs as needed.
• Arrange and handle caustic pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor waste water levels and work with maintenance to resolve issues.
• Maintain etch tank inventories of raw materials.
• Assist in training new operators on testing procedures and provide training feedback.
• Continuously improve the etch area for safety, cleanliness, and organization; work with outside vendors when required.
• Work with maintenance to help resolve mechanical issues; work with IT to resolve computer issues.
• When directed, perform etch operations; attend miscellaneous meetings; perform any additional duties as required.
