Job summary

Clean Harbors in Santa Ana, CA is hiring entry-level Facility Technicians to join our team. This role involves labor, material handling, waste processing, and facility support in a fast-paced industrial environment, with hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams managed per safety and environmental procedures.

The position offers multiple shifts (4:00 AM–12:30 PM, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, 8:00 PM–4:30 AM) with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including a respirator.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work on feet for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work any assigned shift.

Responsibilities

• Handle, sort, move, and process hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
• Perform waste container handling, staging, labeling, and inventory activities.
• Load and unload materials and containers per procedures.
• Inspect containers and work areas for safety and environmental compliance.
• Operate equipment and tools as trained and authorized.
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
• Assist with facility operations and general labor activities as assigned.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and move materials and containers as needed.
• Follow all safety requirements and use PPE as required.
