NEFF & ASSOCIATES is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to support its Surveying Department in Parma Heights, Ohio. The role involves preparing base map surveys, assisting with civil drafting as needed, and reading survey/field notes.

A basic understanding of civil engineering and construction is preferred, along with strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities. The candidate should have 1–3+ years of experience and be able to interpret utility drawings, create site contours, and work with field

Description

We are expanding our Surveying Department and are looking for a qualified AutoCAD Drafting Technician. May be asked to perform some Civil Engineering Design drafting but this would expect to be minimal. Civil Engineering drafting experience would be a plus. Assisting with the preparation of base map surveys for projects with some exposure to various site civil projects for preliminary plans, construction documents and other various tasks. Survey projects will consist of a range of natural gas pipeline projects, commercial, residential and industrial projects. Applicant needs to possess a basic understanding & ability to interpret record utility drawings, create site contours, and work with field observed surveying points, when possible. Attention to detail, problem solving abilities, and organization a must. Applicant should possess a strong desire to learn and progress with a high level of trainability.
