Job summary

A leading systems integrator in La Palma, CA, is seeking a talented AutoCAD Drafter to design and document medium to large-scale electronic security solutions. Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for creating electronic security designs.
• Experience in documenting design solutions for complex projects.
• Ability to mentor junior drafters for quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Design medium to large-scale electronic security solutions.
• Support pre-sales and post-award project efforts.
• Mentor and guide junior drafters for accuracy in drawings.
• Identify and document scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor drafters to ensure accuracy and quality of drawings.
• Review architectural, electrical, and construction drawings to support system design and coordination.
• Apply electrical theory to develop compliant, high-quality security system designs.
• Ensure designs meet customer expectations, industry standards, and project requirements.
• Travel minimally on an as-needed basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, engineer, and document medium to large-scale electronic security solutions with moderate to high complexity
• Support both pre-sales and post-award project efforts by identifying, scoping, and estimating cost-effective solutions that meet customer requirements
• Collaborate closely with Project Management and Sales to ensure engineering deliverables align with project scope, budget, and schedule
• Identify, manage, and document scope changes as needed throughout the project lifecycle
• Mentor and guide drafters to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of engineering drawings
• Review architectural, electrical, and construction drawings to support system design and coordination
• Apply strong electrical and electronic theory to develop compliant, high-quality security system designs
• Ensure designs meet customer expectations, industry standards, and project requirements
• Travel minimally on an as-needed basis to support project needs

This is a contract to hire position offering long-term stability and growth.
