Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an entry-level AutoCAD Designer to join our growing engineering and design team supporting telecommunications and EV charging infrastructure projects. This individual will work alongside engineers, project managers, and senior designers to develop and revise technical drawings for wireless communication sites and EV charging station installations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and has a foundational understanding of AutoCAD and drafting

Qualifications

• Entry-level AutoCAD Designer with foundational AutoCAD and drafting knowledge.
• Associates in CAD Design preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify AutoCAD drawings for telecommunications cell tower and wireless site projects.
• Assist with construction drawings, site plans, equipment layouts, and permitting packages.
• Develop and update drawings for EV charging station installations, including site layouts and equipment placement.
• Incorporate engineering markups and redline revisions into design packages.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, organization, and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and design teams to meet project requirements.
• Review drawings for quality control and completeness prior to client submission.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and has a foundational understanding of AutoCAD and drafting principles.

Responsibilities

Technical Must-Haves

• AutoCAD experience, preferably with an Associates in CAD Design
• Able to draw the normal shapes to scale, use two key commands, short cuts, etc.

Plusses

• Associates in AutoCAD or drafting/design

Compensation

$21/hr to $25/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
