Job summary

Tulsa Tech is seeking a Design and Construction Documents Technician to serve as a district resource for construction plans and drawings. You will produce legible drawings for building construction and remodels, and maintain related drawings and documents with AutoCAD and PDF tools.

Responsibilities include preparing documents for board approval, coordinating with external architects, and building a comprehensive drawings database while ensuring accurate records and presentations.

Qualifications

Minimum eight years' experience as a high-level draftsperson, intern, designer or project coordinator.
Experience in an architectural firm preferred.
Must have a valid state driver's license.
Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

Create and maintain architectural drawings, site utility plans, security plans, emergency egress plans, and other related drawings using AutoCAD and PDF software.
Create and maintain a database of all-district drawings, building and construction specifications and other pertinent information.
Prepare drawings for yearly capital improvements for board approval and construction purposes.
Perform fieldwork to locate existing conditions and changes to building systems.
Record changes made during construction and maintain the drawings database.
Maintain aerial and site digital photographs of facilities and renovations.
Create and maintain Facility Guide with cost, square footage, and space utilization data.
Facilitate communication between facilities personnel on construction and maintenance projects.
