Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools to repair vehicle sections (cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, pliers).
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resin when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with parts; repair glass and interior parts.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified or matching paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
