Z2 Motorsports in New Britain, Connecticut seeks an Automotive Body Technician to join our restoration and restomod shop, focusing on classic, muscle, and performance cars. This full-time role emphasizes craftsmanship and high-quality bodywork on unique projects.

You will repair, replace, and align panels, rust repair, and prepare vehicles for paint, with opportunities to contribute to complete builds in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Professional automotive body repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality body and restoration work on classic and performance vehicles.
• Repair, replace, and align body panels; ensure proper fit and gaps.
• Execute rust and corrosion repair on panels and structures.
• Finish metalwork and bodywork to high standards.
• Prepare surfaces for primer and paint; assist with paint work as needed.
• Disassemble and reassemble repair/restoration components.
• Repair previous bodywork and improve quality of past jobs.

Automotive Body Technician – Classic, Muscle, and Performance Cars

Z2 Motorsports is looking for an experienced Automotive Body Technician to join our growing restoration and restomod shop.

We specialize in muscle cars, restorations, restomods, and custom builds. This is an opportunity for a skilled body technician who takes pride in craftsmanship and wants to work on interesting cars where quality matters more than simply getting the next collision job out the door.

What You'll Do

As part of our team, you'll perform high-quality body and restoration work on classic and performance vehicles, including:

• Body panel repair, replacement, and alignment

• Rust and corrosion repair

• Quarter panel, floor, rocker, and structural panel replacement

• Metal finishing and bodywork

• Panel fitment and gap adjustment

• Door, hood, trunk, and fender alignment

• Body filler application and block sanding

• Surface preparation for primer and paint

• Disassembly and reassembly of repair and restoration projects

• Repairing previous bodywork and correcting poor-quality repairs
