Job summary

Fort Pitt Classic Cars in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Body Restoration Technician for our fast-paced custom facility. If you love vintage muscle, exotics and classic trucks, you’ll thrive here where quality and artistry drive every project.

You will build and restore bodies from full body-off projects to cosmetic refreshes, perform metalwork, manage assembly and disassembly of rare trim and components, and finish with precise prep and buffing to bring automotive history back to life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in custom auto body repair or sheet metal restoration.
• Portfolio or examples of previous work to demonstrate skill level.
• High standard of quality and deep knowledge of vintage vehicle construction.

Responsibilities

• Build cars and bring automotive history back to life.
• Execute restorations ranging from full body-off projects to partial cosmetic refreshes.
• Perform metalwork including precision rust repair, floor pan/quarter panel replacement, and welding.
• Manage assembly and careful disassembly of rare trim, glass, and exterior components.
• Perfect the finish using custom metal finishing, straight-line blocking, and final prep/buffing.
