Job Title: Automotive Paint Technician

General Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for all aspects of the paint application process, minor repairs, sanding, grinding, and paint preparation. Also, on an as-needed basis, performs duties of Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II, Flow Inventory Associate II, Senior Reconditioning Associate, and Senior Reconditioning Associate I.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete paint application and minor repairs (sanding, grinding)
• Prepare paint, including color matching and mixing
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
• Execute standardized work as defined
• Ensure vehicles meet CarMax Paint Standards
• Maintain, repair, and clean equipment
• Manage inventory levels of PPE, tools, and chemicals
• Maintain workplace cleanliness per CarMax 5S standards
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
• Perform interior and exterior detailing, interior repairs, inventory, and paint prep
• Complete additional duties as assigned by managers
