Kansas City Peterbilt is seeking experienced Body Shop Technicians for our body shop department. Applicants should have at least one year of experience as a Body Shop Technician, Mechanic, or Collision Repair (preferred). The role requires a self‑motivated, dependable individual capable of performing all tasks to the best of their ability and working well with coworkers. Onsite training is provided.

Job Details – Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform major and minor body repairs.
• Perform fiberglass repairs.
• Perform aluminum body panel repairs and replacement.
• Perform steel and aluminum welding.
• Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM, Quality Control).
• Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments.
• Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all warranty policies and procedures.
• Use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnosis and repair.
• Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.

Qualifications

• Heavy lifting required.
• CDL preferred.
• One year or more of Body Shop / Collision Repair / Mechanic experience (preferred).
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive, team‑oriented, customer‑focused attitude.
• Adaptable and resourceful in a fast‑paced environment.
