Job summary

Classic Collision is hiring an Autobody Paint Prepper in a fast-growing shop environment. The role involves preparing vehicles for refinishing, assisting Paint Technicians, and ensuring quality finishes while complying with safety and disposal guidelines.

The position offers weekly pay, ongoing training, a supportive team, 401K matching, and comprehensive benefits. Must be 18+, hold a valid driver’s license, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• I-CAR certification preferred.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all assigned vehicles for refinishing and reassembly and support Paint Technicians as required.
• Complete all paint preparation per factory specifications following the repair order.
• Assist Paint Technician by preparing spray-out panels and assist in sanding/buffing to meet quality standards.
• Adhere to hazardous waste disposal requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and paint booth; keep workspace clean and organized.
• Ensure all paint operations are completed, masking removed, and vehicle reassembled before returning to body technician.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
