Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an Autobody Paint Prepper to join our Atlanta team. You will prepare vehicles for refinishing, assist Paint Technicians, and ensure quality finishes while following safety and cleanup procedures.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ years of age, and may prefer I-CAR certification. A background check is required and the company offers competitive pay, benefits, and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Driver's License required.
I-CAR certification preferred.
Strong organizational skills.
Background check required.

Responsibilities

Prepare all assigned vehicles for refinishing and reassembly and assist Paint Technicians as needed.
Complete all paint prep processes per factory specs and repair orders.
Assist Paint Technician by preparing spray-out panels to determine blend needs and help in sanding/buffing to ensure finish quality.
Adhere to hazardous waste disposal requirements.
Maintain tools, equipment, and paint booth; keep workspace clean and organized.
Use air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks to complete quality work.
Ensure all paint operations are complete, masking removed, and prior disassembly reassembled before returning to the body technician.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
