Job Description

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages, and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within the limit of authority. Mentors junior employees.

This is a remote auto claims adjuster role. The ideal candidate will be experienced in auto claims handling and can sit in any time zone.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Determines subrogation or fraud potential and handles complex cases accordingly.
  2. Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies, industry standards, and organizational relationships.
  3. Handles investigations of all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability, damages) with discretion and independence.
  4. Reviews, evaluates, and negotiates moderate to complex injury claims involving injuries.
  5. Recognizes vehicle body parts and potential property damage.
  6. Identifies customer needs and utilizes appropriate customer service skills to meet those needs.
Education

4-year Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

Experience

3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (In Lieu)

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $52,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions or bonuses.
