Job summary

Horne Mazda in Avondale, AZ is seeking an experienced Mainline Automotive Technician to join our busy service department. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive concerns, perform multi-point inspections and warranty work, and maintain documentation with a focus on quality and efficiency.

We offer a competitive flat-rate pay of $35–$40 per hour, a high-volume workflow, and opportunities for long-term career growth within a family-owned dealership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive dealership technician experience required.
• Mazda certifications strongly preferred.
• EV certification is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Professional, team-oriented attitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.
• Accurately diagnose customer concerns and vehicle issues.
• Complete multi-point inspections.
• Perform warranty repairs according to Mazda manufacturer specifications.
• Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools and special service tools.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, HVAC and other vehicle systems.
• Properly document diagnostic procedures and completed repairs.
• Communicate repair recommendations with Service Advisors.
• Maintain an organized and professional work area.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
