Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose and recondition vehicles to our high safety and reliability standards. You will work with a skilled team to address a range of repair tasks, from engines to suspension, across domestic and foreign models.

The role offers growth through ongoing training and exposure to advanced tools in a climate-controlled facility. ASE certifications and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Maintain ASE certifications where required by state/local law.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with a team to solve technical challenges quickly.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
