Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet safety and quality standards in a modern, climate-controlled facility designed for efficiency.

You’ll work with a skilled team to restore confidence for customers, gain hands-on experience with domestic and foreign vehicles, and contribute to a culture of integrity, innovation, and excellence at CarMax.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong health and safety compliance understanding.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license; ASE certifications as noted above.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax’s high standards for quality and safety.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to solve technical challenges quickly and effectively.
