Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Center is hiring an Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic – ASE Certified in Union, Missouri. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, and inspections while delivering quality service to customers.

Qualified candidates include ASE certified technicians or those with 5+ years of shop experience, possess a Missouri State Inspector License or ability to obtain one, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
• Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, inspections, steering and suspension work, oil changes and routine maintenance.
• Complete Missouri state inspections or obtain certification to do so.
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Collaborate with the team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely; provide clear repair explanations to customers.

What Our Technicians Do

• Technicians diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• They perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, vehicle inspections, steering and suspension work, oil changes, tune-ups, and general automotive maintenance.
• Technicians perform Missouri state inspections or obtain certification to do so.

• Team members maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Technicians work collaboratively with the team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely.
• They provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations to customers.

What We Need

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop
