Job summary

Bose Corporation seeks a Portfolio Software Architect for Auto Tech to define the future software architecture across its automotive technology portfolio. This principal-level role requires deep technical leadership, systems thinking, and the ability to set long-term direction while solving concrete engineering problems.

You will partner with audio, acoustics, ML/AI, and OEM teams to translate Bose technologies into scalable, production-ready capabilities, enabling future applications of AI/ML

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as CS/EE
• 12+ years of software engineering and architecture experience
• Experience spanning multiple products, customers, hardware targets, or generations
• Deep expertise in architecture, modularity, APIs, portability, reuse
• Strong depth in embedded and distributed systems, automotive familiarity
• Knowledge of Android Automotive, hypervisors, SoCs, DSPs, middleware
• Ability to lead initiatives and influence across teams
• Excellent communication and leadership for senior engineers and partners

Responsibilities

• Define software architecture and strategy for the Auto Tech portfolio
• Architect scalable, portable software platforms for automotive environments
• Establish reusable abstractions and interfaces across Bose platforms
• Collaborate with audio, acoustics, ML/AI teams to apply Bose tech
• Anticipate future software-defined vehicle trends and steer direction
• Engage with OEMs and ecosystem partners to align architectures
• Provide mentorship to engineers and architects across the organization
