Job summary

Boyd’s Tire & Service in Central Ohio is seeking a General Service Technician to perform oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments, and basic duties under ASE technician supervision. Training is provided to advance toward ASE certification. This entry point can launch a rewarding automotive career.

The role requires random 6-day work weeks with safety-conscious practices; compensation ranges from $17–$22 per hour depending on experience, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service preferred and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work Monday–Saturday.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass an MVR/background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, tires, supplies from vendors or the office using the company vehicle.
• Operates the company vehicle safely and follows traffic laws.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and basic services under supervision.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Repair Order and Multi-point Inspection.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and surroundings.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
