Job summary

Burlington VW in Burlington, NJ, is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our dealership team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards, performing routine maintenance and inspections.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, proficient use of diagnostic tools, and a clean driving record. ASE certification is preferred but not required; we offer ongoing training and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive service technician or mechanic is required.
• ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, equipment, and software.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles per manufacturer standards.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, and more.
• Inspect vehicles and provide repair recommendations.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.
• Complete repair orders accurately and document work.
• Collaborate with service team for timely service.
• Stay updated on automotive tech through training and certifications.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
