Job summary

Galleria Chevrolet is seeking a Service Porter-Valet to move vehicles within the service area and lot, keep vehicles and the service area clean, and deliver vehicles to customers after service.

The ideal candidate has high energy, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience is welcome, but training is offered and a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean record is required.

Qualifications

• No experience required; willing to train.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Unrestricted Texas driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong communication, customer service and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles to and from service areas and lots as needed.
• Install protective coverings and tags on vehicles brought in for service.
• Service vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
• Wash and clean vehicles as needed.
• Maintain lot appearance and clean driveways/sidewalks; remove snow/debris.
• Maintain shop cleanliness (windows, doors, floors, etc.).
• Handle dealer trades.
• Transport customers to/from their home when needed.
• Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Service Porter-Valet helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the service area/lot, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the service area, delivering vehicles to customers after service is complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed.

The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. They must have great communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces. Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed.
• Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service.
• Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
• Washes and cleans vehicles as needed.
• Helps maintain lot appearance by cleaning driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.
• Helps maintain shop cleanliness, including windows, doors, floors, etc.
• Dealer Trades.
• Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested.
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Follows all safety and security procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role a plus.
• Must be customer service oriented.
