Job summary

BMW of Riverside is seeking a Lot Porter/Valet to move vehicles in the service area and lot, maintain vehicle and service area cleanliness, deliver vehicles post-service, and shuttle customers when needed.

Ideal candidates will have a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record, be able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions, and exhibit strong communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; training provided.
• Unrestricted California driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a team player with commitment to the customer and team members.
• Must be self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed.
• Installs protective coverings and tags in vehicles brought in for service.
• Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
• Washes and cleans vehicles as needed.
• Helps maintain lot appearance by cleaning driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.
• Helps maintain shop cleanliness, including windows, doors, floors, etc.
• Dealer Trades.
• Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested.
• Ensures documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.
• Follows safety and security procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Lot Porter/Valet Person helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the service area/lot, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the service area, delivering vehicles to customers after service is complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed.

Hours for this postion are the following and are subject to change if necessary:

Monday through Friday - 6:45 am to 3:45 pm with all applicable breaks and lunch. The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. He or she must have great communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces. Previous experience is preferred.
