Job summary

Treviño's Auto Mart is seeking a Car Sales Associate to help customers choose vehicles, explain features and financing options, and guide them through the purchase process. The role involves greeting clients, presenting the dealership's vehicles, and answering questions in person and by phone.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and is willing to work Saturdays and weekdays. 1 year of sales experience is preferred.

Job description

A Car Sales Associate, or Auto Sales Representative, is responsible for selling cars, trucks and vans for personal and commercial use. Their duties include meeting with customers to discuss their needs, promoting sales offers at their dealership and participating in test drives with interested customers.

What you’ll do

Car Sales Associates are responsible for making customers feel welcome and supported through the car-purchasing process. Responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the customer, but usually include the following tasks:

• Greet customers arriving at the dealership
• Show case the dealership's vehicles and explain their features and warranties to customers
• Answer customer questions about cars, financing and purchase process in-person and by phone.
• Collect customer information and documentation
• Negotiate car prices and trade-in values for customers' vehicles
• Contact fresh and past leads, follow-up calls, text & email sequences
• Daily activities that include social media presence and outbound calls to previous customers to request referrals and repeat business

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency English and Spanish required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport.
• Prior experience in a sales, customer service, or retail environment preferred but not required.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and Weekdays.
• Must have valid Drivers License.

Compensation

• Estimated Compensation Range: $30,000 – $75,000 per year.
• $2,000 sign-on bonus 90 days after employment
