Job summary

The Payne Auto Group is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our team at our stand-alone pre-owned locations. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who can generate leads, build strong customer relationships, and consistently close deals in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

While this position is designed for experienced sales professionals, exceptional candidates without direct automotive experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a clear and valid driving record for the past three years.
• Proven experience as a salesperson or in a similar sales role.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is a plus; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads and identify potential customers.
• Contact prospects through cold calling, email, and in-person interactions.
• Understand customer needs and present appropriate product or service solutions.
• Present and demonstrate vehicles and features to potential customers.
• Negotiate and close sales deals effectively.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Meet or exceed agreed-upon sales goals within established timeframes.
• Stay current on sales best practices, promotions, and market trends.
• Continuously improving performance through feedback and coaching.
