Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Representative to analyze and process auto/property damage claims in a role based in Clayton, MO. The position emphasizes assessing damages, approving payments, and maintaining properly coded claim files in line with policy terms.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree preference, familiarity with personal/commercial lines, strong communication, and solid analytical and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjusting licenses as required.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
• Ability to review Property Damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses to negotiate first/third party claims.
• Knowledge of total loss processing, state salvage forms and title requirements, preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto property damage and lower level injury claims with assessments, payments, and documentation.
• Develops action plans to meet state deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker when appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on claims assignments.
• Supports the organization’s quality programs.
